The purpose for this weekend is:
1. We have to remeasure the track and move it a few feet, to avoid damage to the survace with repair cost on the long run.
2. We need to take the equipment out of winter storage and check through everything, and eventually do some repairs ...
Since we are at the airport, working on the equipment, it would be a waste of good time not to get together and have some fun.
So the plan is to do some runs at the quartermile - after above work is done.
Driving time will probably be around 4pm through 6pm on Saturday, and estimate a close to "normal" Sunday... 11am through 3pm, more or less.
ATTENTION:
- We will NOT stay overnight at the airport. The Timing Club will as well stay at the Motorpark across from the entrance gate, starting Friday night through Sunday.
Of course you are welcome to join us whenever you wish, to help, to just hang out, or to chat.
- I do NOT plan on Security on site for this test weekend. We will just lock the airport gate over night. Please remember the airport rules and remind new folks.
- Uli (our pit kitchen) will not be able to make it. Please bring your own grill or plan otherwise.
- We will set up the necessary equipment for the quartermile track only and leave everything else on the motorpark site. Including the dixies.
- No car inspection, since this is a test weekend. But if you bring some piece of ...., count for sure to be kicked out.
- Participation fee will be accordingly lowered or on donation basis, considering weather, participants, etc. .. (we need a bit help to pay the rent, US $ accepted 1:1 if you have the right change with you).
