Car Insurance and The Nürburgring

What is the deal? I have heard from some people that it is considered a toll road and your insurance will cover you. I have also heard that they will not cover you. Which is it? Do only certain insurance companies cover you? I have USSA from the States.

the standard is that "regular" insurance policies do not cover accidents on race tracks, which includes the ring. the parking lot of the ring and the road to and from are covered

Good question , but if your asking , then that probably indicates you haven't asked your insurance company. I can tell you from other people that had USAA and had minor guardrail incidents. They werenot covered and were dropped for it.
